Design Impeller with UGS_NX

 

1. Launch UG.

2. Click icon, select Model and input name “Impeller”.

3. Open a notepad of the Windows and edit as shown in Figure 1, then save it as the name of data1.dat.

4. Open a notepad of the Windows and edit as shown in Figure 2, then save it as the name of data2.dat.

5. Open a notepad of the Windows and edit as shown in Figure 3, then save it as the name of data3.dat.

6. Click icon, then click icon, then click icon and then select the data1.dat which you just saved in step 3, then click icon. Then click icon and then select the data2.dat which you just saved in step 4, then click icon. Then click icon and then select the data3.dat which you just saved in step 5, then click icon to create the curves as shown in Figure 4.

7. Click icon, then select the nether green curve as the section string 1, and then press the mouse middle key in the blank areas, then select the upper green curve as the section string 2 and then press the mouse middle key in the blank areas, then select the yellow curve as the section string 3 and then press the mouse middle key in the blank areas as shown in Figure 5, then click icon

8. Click icon, select the icon in the Point Method, then edit as shown in Figure 6, and then click icon. Then input (67,29,0) as shown in Figure 7, and then click icon.

Then input (67,105,0) and then click icon. Then input (70,105,0) and then click icon. Then input (75,35,0) and then click icon. Then input (100,35,0) and then click icon. Then input (100,32,0) and then click icon. Then input (81,32,0) and then click icon. Then input (81,6.5,0) and then click icon. Then input (-29.5,6.5,0) and then click icon. Then input (-29.5,9,0) and then click icon. Then input (-2,9,0) and then click icon. Then input (67,105,0) and then click icon. Then input (-2,29,0) and then click icon to create the curves as shown in Figure 8.
