Cup Modeling in CATIA

Step1: Select the workbench

1. Launch CATIA.

2. Select Start>Mechanical Design>Part Design.

Step2: Create the body of cup

1. Select the yz plane from the part tree.

2. Click the (Sketch) icon and create sketch as shown in figure 1.

3. Click the icon to create fillets as shown in figure 2.


4. Click (Exit workbench) icon.

5. Click icon to rotate the above sketch as shown in figure 3.

6. Click ok.

Step3: Edge fillet

1. Click icon. Create edge fillets with 0.5mm radius as shown in figure 4.

2. Click ok.

Step4: Multi-sections solid

1. Create plane 1

Select the yz plane, then click icon to create a spline with th fuction and as shown in figure 5.
