. Before any setup within the software takes place please have available your DNC cable with
the following pin configuration. Below the picture illustrates the pin layout for DNC cable that
will be used for transmitting code between computer and machine.
DNC PIN CONFIGURATIONS
ii. Another step to be taken before using your G-Code manager is the link that will be necessary between
your Trust Simulator Program on your MetaCAD/CAM machine and your Communication Computer.
1. Install Trust Simulator on one of the MetaCAM systems in house.
2. Right Click on the TrustSimulator folder and select “Sharing”.
Select “Share this folder” and type TrustSimulator in the share
name field. Click OK.
3. Go to the MetaCAM4 folder on that system and double-click
“SyncSW.exe”. A window will come up prompting you to
enable the Sync Switch. Select “enable” then click OK.
4. Start up MetaCAM There will be a pause at the beginning and a
progress bar will appear. This is MetaCAM synchronizing data with Trust Simulator.
5. Install TrustTerminal on the shop system. Make sure that it is hooked up to the network and that the
protection block is attached.
6. During the installation, you’ll be prompted for the location of
the database. Point it towards the shared Trust
Simulator¥Database folder on the system on the network.
7. When the installation is complete, copy the DB file located on
the floppy included with the shipment to the TrustTerminal
folder.
