7.1. Introduction
In the previous labs, a billet underwent a furnace transfer and a dwell on the bottom die.
The last step of the Dwell will be loaded into the Pre-processor and the first forging blow
will be set up.
7.2. Opening a Previous Simulation
The DEFORM-3D MAIN window should already be open. With the Spike.DB file
highlighted in the file list, click  to open the Pre-processor. Select to load
Step 60 and click .
7.3. Setting Simulation Controls
Click  to enter SIMULATION CONTROLS. Change the Operation Name to
Forging Blow 1 and the Operation Number to 3. Turn on Deformation so that both it and
Heat Transfer are activated.
