One Dimensional Heat Transfer with Radiation

DEFORM solution
This verification example was run in DEFORM-2D using both plane strain and
axisymmetric elements. Simulations were also run in DEFORM-3D by extruding the
geometry 1 0mm in the out-of-plane dimension. Both 8-noded brick and 4-noded
tetrahedral elements were tested in 3D.
The simulations were run until a steady-state temperature distribution was obtained,
which is shown in the below temperature vs. time plot. For this verification example,
200 time steps were used with 20 seconds per step.
