These tips help improve system response time and decrease file size. To get
the best results, perform all of these tasks.
• Delete unnecessary construction geometry.
After you construct a final wireframe or surface model, you can delete
much of the original construction geometry by using the DABS CPL. For
example, if you build a surface using Lofted or Mesh of Curves, you can
delete the original curves. If you want to save this data, create a
separate job to store it in.
• Delete duplicate geometry.
Depending on the part, you may be able to eliminate duplicate
geometry. For instance, if you are machining a symmetrical part, you
can machine using only one half of the model; if you are machining a
model that uses the same piece of geometry many times, you can
machine using only one occurrence of that geometry.
You can use the RMRENDSP typein to remove any redundant displays,
if the size of your job is larger than you expected.
