Step 1. Open a Part Drawing.
Using the File Pull-Down Menu , Select Open then select Part Drawing from Sub-menu.
Select “Fig.1 - 2D.pdg” from the “Open” dialog box. Click the “Open” button to continue. The
part drawing window will appear. Click on the “Punch Tooling”
tab (figure 1) to enable the CAM functions.
Step 2. Setting the Machine.
Click on the Part Settings  command. The Part Settings dialog box will appear. On the
“Basic” tab, make
sure that a
punching machine
that you wish to use
is selected (figure
2). Click the “Done”
button to continue.
Step 3. Setting up your turret.
Click the Edit Turret  command button. The Turret window will appear (figure 2). This
window allows you to setup turret preferences regarding punch tool assignment in tool
stations. Each of these items are covered in the User Guide. For this exercise, only select
those tools we will be needing for this part. Our tool list includes .5” & .85” rounds and 3” X
.25” & 2
