1 Introduction
This guide introduces AVEVA's Connectivity Manager product. Connectivity Manager is part
of the AVEVA Model Management suite and is provided as an extension to AVEVA Plant
DESIGN. This chapter lists the different types of user who would need to read this guide and
sets out what knowledge they will need before they start.
Connectivity Manager provides P&ID to 3D graphical comparison of equipment, nozzle, line
and piping/instrument component data between AVEVA PE P&IDs and PDMS models.
1.1 Who Should Use this Guide
General users should use this guide to understand the tasks Connectivity Manager can do
and to find details of how to achieve a specific task using the controls provided.
General users and Administrators should use this guide to adjust Connectivity Manager
settings to suit project requirements.
