1 Introduction
Note: The generic term ‘Drafting’ is used to represent both Plant DRAFT and Marine
Outfitting DRAFT.
The purpose of this document is to provide the Area Based ADP (Automatic Drawing
Production) administrator with guidance on how to organise the application to enable the
user to easily produce drawings from the 3D model.
It is assumed that the administrator is an experienced user of Plant DRAFT or Marine
Outfitting DRAFT and this is reflected in the terminology used in this guide. All terms are
fully described in DRAFT Administrator Application User Guide and the DRAFT User Guide.
ABA allows a user to produce drawings by selecting predefined physical box volumes
(known as areas) and matching them to a template that describes the format of the drawing
to be produced.
