Fan Blades Modeling in SolidWorks

Step1: Select the workbench

1.Launch solidworks2009(or click the icon in the desktop)

2.Select Start>new >a 3d representation.of a singe desinge compoent

3.Save file .Rename PartBody “Fan blades”

Step2:Draw the bottom of Fan blades

1. Creat a new reference plane as shown in Figure2.The path : insert>reference geometry>plane.Set the workbenth “ plane",click theicon,creat a new sketch1 (or click the icon) with the centerline iron , three point arc icon and smart dimension icon.Look at Figure3.Don’t forget to quit the sketch workbench.

3. Set the workbenth “right plane",click theicon,creat a new sketch1 (or click the icon) with the centerline iron , tangent arc icon and smart dimension icon.Look at Figure4.Don’t forget to quit the sketch workbench.

4. Creat a new reference plane as shown in Figure4.The path : insert>reference geometry>plane.Set the workbenth “ plane",click theicon,creat a new sketch3 (or click the icon) with the centerline iron , three point arc icon and smart dimension icon.Look at Figure5.Don’t forget to quit the sketch workbench.

5. Creat a new reference plane as shown in Figure8.The path : insert>reference geometry>plane.Set the workbenth “ plane",click theicon,creat a new sketch3 (or click the icon) with the centerline iron , three point arc icon and smart dimension icon.Look at Figure9.Don’t forget to quit the sketch workbench.
