AutoForm-Price Tables

This iesson introduces alt the functions and Options that are available in order to create and edit a price table. If you want to get an impression of the prices, you must make the information on prices accessible to AutoForm-Nest. You can do that by reading a CSV file with the price information or by entering the price Information directly. In both cases, you can always update the information.

To enable a precise calculation of material costs per part, AutoForm-Nest needs a detailed price table, which is oriented towards the concrete basic conditions (technical environment and product range of your material suppliers).

Open the Blank generator and change to the Embed / Nest page:

Main window Model > Blank generator... > Embed / Nest

AutoForm-Nest has an integrated table editor that is used for creating and editing price tables.

Embed / Nest Prices / weight > Input...

The following dialog opens:

In general, create a column for each coil width and insert a row for each sheet thickness, so that you can assign the prices according to the coil width and the sheet thickness. Precise data are necessary for AutoForm-Nest to calculate all the prices for each part correctly.

Enter the specifications regarding the coil width and sheet thickness in the valid unit of length {default: mm); enter the prices in the respective currency (e.g. Euro)/ton.

Note: This table only serves as an example of the functions. In no case can it be used for calculating prices In real life. Your material supplier will make precise and obligatory data available for you to this purpose,

Price Plot: Price / Coil Width

This diagram is an overview of the sheet metal prices for the sheet thickness which you selected in the Blank thickness / coil width table. If in addition you select extra costs related to sheet thickness or general extra costs, then these extra costs will be also displayed in the diagram.

In order to take over the data for the calculation of the prices, confirm the specifications:

The price table is stored in the simulation file.

To send the price table created to other applications (spread-sheet analysis, data base...) or to use the price table for other calculations with AutoForm-Nest, export the table to a CSV-format file.

Embed / Nest Prices / weight > Edit...

Now export the price table to a CSV file:

Price table (prices per ton) > Export... > Select a file > Select the folder in which you want to save the CSV file > Selection > Selected Folder/steel?02.csv > OK

If you want to use the price table for a later embedding or nesting calculation, import the exported CSV file:

Embed / Nest Prices / weight > Import... > Select a file > Select the folder in

which you saved the CSV file > steel_02.csv > OK

The file is loaded.
