Making use of the new introduced twist function in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, you can manage the geometry transform more novel and flexible. Not only a series of different control instruments for specialized transform provided by this new function but also these instruments can be applied to any kinds of geometry. Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 introduced carving and framework tools to the twist feature. This tutorial will introduce carving research at the same time illuminate some benefit after you know how to manipulate the new function.

There are three options of direction control show as below:

Two sides – Transform holds line movement through out the model (perpendicularity to the grid surface).
Symmetry – Transform been applied symmetrically.
There are some options about path point that designing for grip move. For this case, we start at a very simple revolving solid part(Figure 2),then make this solid become a concept model of lawnmower by using the twist tool.
