1.1 Introduction to SDFBROWSER
The Browser’s purpose is to provide a Graphical User Interface to view the data stored
in a Ricardo Standard Data File (SDF). The Browser enables you to view and edit
named variables/arrays stored in an SDF, along with their properties and values. New
SDFs can also be created and new variables/arrays can be added to existing SDFs.
The browser work area is split into two parts (using variable height panes). The first
pane shows the Names of the variables/arrays stored in the file from which you can
select the item of interest. When a name is selected the value of the variable/array will
be displayed in the second pane. The second pane shows the information (value, units,
and description) associated with the selected name. It also displays a segment of a
selected array.
