1. Update of Welds in Plane Panels
Description
Weld Planning can be used to define weld sizes. This can be done either from the
weld table of Weld Planning or the weld sizes may be selected automatically by use
of the facility, described in the on-line documentation "Hull / Bevel Excess and Weld
/ Automatic Selection of Fillet Welds". Since the weld information is stored in the
model (i.e. in the panel) it should be update with the relevant weld sizes. In Tribon
M2 an option has been implemented to perform this update, meaning that weld
sizes are transferred and updated for plates, brackets and stiffeners. The added
information is immediately accessible in drawings and when creating schemes from
panels. All panels belonging to the current assembly are treated.
Benefits
Weld information is immediate available from the model once it has defined in Weld
Planning. Problems caused by inconsistency between weld information in the panel
and the information extracted from Weld Planning are eliminated.
