Overview
This document introduces the use models of Laker’s net router.
Laker’s net router allows user to complete net connection with multiple-nodes.
With logic information existed, for example in Laker L3 flow, user can control
the connection by one of the following approaches.
• by selecting nets from a net name list.
• by selecting net shapes in layout window.
Benefits
Net router provides these flexible use models:
• Partial routing: Layout engineer constructs part of the wiring connections
manually and invokes Laker’s net router to finish the rest wiring jobs.
• Shielding: Floating shielding and grounded shielding methods are
provided. For critical net or noisy net, user can use the net router to finish
the wiring and shielding nets at the same time.
Graphical User Interface (GUI)
The following paragraphs explains major parts in the graphical user interface
(GUI) of Net Router.
Route-on-demand and Partial Routing
Route-on-demand is an attempt to ease wiring jobs. User can directly select
shapes with net information and invoke Laker’s net router to build wire
connection automatically.
In some situations, user prefers to build part of the wiring connections manually.
It may happen within a critical area or a very congested area. Laker’s net router
can use partial shape to build the rest connection automatically.
