6.1. Introduction

In Lab 5, a billet was transferred from the furnace to the dies. Once the billet gets to the dies, it will rest on the bottom die for 2 seconds prior to forging. This dwell will be modeled in this lab. The last step of the previous simulation (the step corresponding to the end of the furnace transfer) will be loaded into the Pre-processor and the dwell
operation will be set up.
