For the creation of head lamps and signal lamps with a special required beam pattern such as high beam orcross beam distribution, reflectors with profiled free forms are widely used. In lucid shape the subdirectoryprofile geometry contains several .lue-files which create experimental setups for profile geometries.
Theyall contain dialog boxes for setting parameters like spread angles, direction angles, number of profiles orthe reflector size. With this technique it is also possible to create several types of lenses which are used asouter optics e.g. in automotive head lamps.
1.2. Applicationslucid studio offers several applications to build profiled reflectors and refractory:
• Procedural Surface (PS) Rectangle Reflector• Procedural Surface (PS) Rotational Reflector
• PS Extrusion Reflector
• PS Belt Reflector
• PS Reflector Applications with Predefined Configuration
• Procedural Surface (PS) Rectangle Lens
• Procedural Surface (PS) Rotational Lens
• PS Lens Applications with Predefined Configuration ...Automotive High Beamand Automotive Cross Beamspecially use only a rectangular shaped reflector in orderto create the wanted light distribution. Prism and spread reflectors and refractory are available in both rect-angular and round shapes in order to create a more flexible beam pattern.
