¬ Identifying the first melt’ end location that
consists slag and drag (using tracer)
¬ Surface finishing (especially in HPDC process)
¬ Support in designing the gating and runner
system
Displays the local filling time in seconds
¬ On auto the user scale shows the time at which melt is present for the
first time
¬ adjust user scale above & below fill time for further evaluation
¬ Allows for evaluation of filling sequence in one result file
¬ Areas depicting irregular filing tend to have entrapped air and
inclusions
¬ Higher the value, the later the fill
¬ Air pockets appear as a dark color surrounded by lighter color
¬ Can aide in defining needed vents & overflows
