Dyna keyword card organization
In LS-DYNA the model geometry information (nodes and elements) is organized by the *PART card. The *PART card corresponds to a component within HyperMesh. Within the *PART card,references are made to a *SECTION_SHELL and a *MAT card to define the section and material
properties.
In HyperMesh,the *PART, *SECTION and *MAT cards are assigned to database entities called Collectors.Because of the relationships required between the Dyna keywords,the order in which HyperMesh collectors are created becomes important.To avoid further editing and updating of the model,the material (*MAT) and property (*SECTION) collectors need to be created before
components (*PART).
