• The rich client is a platform-independent client implementation (Java™
application) for users who interact with Teamcenter Engineering frequently. It is
extendable and able to run both Teamcenter Engineering and customer-written
applications. Customers can also extend the standard user interface.
The rich client application is deployed on each user workstation using the
Over-the-Web Installer.
The rich client is supported in both architectural models described later in this
chapter.
