2 CATPRODUCT E NVIRONMENT
Within CATIA version 5 (from now on V5), several environments are contained. CATProduct is one
of these and it is made up of two main parts:
Graphic environment: It is the area where the assembly space is displayed. In this
area appears graphically every part compounding the assembly.
Structural environment: It is an area showing the structure of the assembly. It shows
single components branching. This structure is displayed with a tree shape and it shall
have so many levels as number of subassemblies of this assembly.
Environments are overlaid though they are different. Structural environment can be removed at any
time pressing F3 key and it can be displayed again pressing the same key
