The integration of ClearCase with Teamcenter Engineering brings in better version
management capabilities of software files in ClearCase, while doing product
modeling, workflow, and process management in Teamcenter. You can use the
Teamcenter Engineering rich client browser to manage the product data of the
hardware part of the product and use ClearCase to manage the product data of the
software part of the product. You can manage the development life cycle of software
designed for hardware whose data is already managed in Teamcenter.
The main tasks you can complete with the integration are as follows:
• Access ClearCase information from Teamcenter, allowing you to query and
access the ClearCase views and versioned object bases (VOB).
• Select, get information about, and update ClearCase files and directories.
